Lydia Schimmelpfenig is a seasoned business executive with 20 years of experience in developing leaders and strengthening workplace teams to create greater engagement, innovation, and productivity. She has been actively coaching executives of all levels – Manager through Senior Vice President – for 14 years, primarily in financial services, sales, and healthcare. She has also facilitated scores of leadership retreats, trained hundreds of managers on influencing and negotiating, and conducted team and individual leadership assessments. As a senior consultant with the telos institute, Lydia utilizes her diverse background to create transformational change for telos clients.
Prior to her independent coaching and consulting work, Lydia managed an Organizational Development and Education department for one of the nation’s largest medical centers, led change management projects at Fortune 50 companies as a management consultant in New York City, and coordinated international and domestic sales and marketing client teams.
She has also served for the past decade as one of a small group of associates with Designed Learning, an organization founded by renowned leadership expert, Peter Block, and trains leaders in the world’s largest organizations on collaboration, negotiation, and partnership.
Lydia holds masters degrees in Organizational Psychology and Counseling Psychology from Columbia University, and is certified as an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation. She has served on the executive boards of the local chapters of National Association of Women Business Owners and International Coach Federation.
She is a Registered Yoga Teacher and enjoys hiking, camping, and skiing. She resides in Southern California with her husband and three children.
