Dr. Bruce Flareau is an experienced senior physician executive, multi-book author, executive coach and national speaker on topics including leadership, physician engagement, talent development, resiliency, population health, and care transformation. As a senior consultant with the telos institute he offers his extensive experience and his proven track record of organizational effectiveness, and extensive experience in governance, strategic planning, change management and operational execution to benefit each client he works with.
He has held numerous leadership roles including Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of a leading, not-for-profit health system where he created a Physician Leadership Institute, founded a nationally ranked Clinically Integrated Network and Medicare-approved accountable care organization, and provided leadership for the implementation of a system-wide electronic medical record.
Dr. Flareau has been recognized as a full professor at two universities and served as a founding residency program director in Family Medicine. He obtained his medical degree from State University of New York, Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, and completed his Family Medicine residency at Bayfront Medical Center in Florida. He is a certified physician executive, a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Physician Executives, a graduate of the Georgetown Executive Coaching program, and a certified executive coach.
Dr. Flareau lives in St. Petersburg, Florida with his family.
