Lyn Christian

Senior Consultant

For more than 20 years, Lyn Christian has grown people and businesses. A child of entrepreneurs, Lyn has an innate passion for business. She began her career in the world of finance and accounting where she was taught, as an undergraduate business student, that finance and accounting are the languages of business and that the goal of business is to maximize share-holder wealth and profits.

Over time, Lyn realized that, for herself, there was not much meaning, fulfillment, or joy in work done with only financial goals in mind. Because of this insight, Lyn turned to the study of leadership and organizational development and transitioned her profession from finance to human resources and coaching.

As a healthcare based human resources professional and senior consultant at the telos institute, she has coached hundreds of people from front-line staff to physicians, executives, and entrepreneurs. Her coaching style is rooted in the evidence-based principles of emotional and social intelligence; with a special interest in the recent neuroscientific research focused in this area. She believes that we all have the capacity to be leaders, no matter our position, and that organizations can be a source of joyful work and a force for good in the world when we have emotionally intelligent leaders.

Lyn has an undergraduate degree in Finance and Accounting from Montana State University and an MBA from the University of Wyoming. She has worked at executive levels and as a coach in healthcare, business, and the public sector. She is currently the Human Resources Director for a nationally acclaimed pediatric practice in Pittsburgh, PA and a senior consultant for the telos institute.
